World Record: Most Remote Comedy Show: Son Doong Cave, Vietnam
The World’s Most Remote Comedy show took place on Sat. April 13 2024 deep in the Vietnam jungle in the World’s Largest Cave – Son Doong. To get there, the World’s Fastest Talker and Comedienne, Fran Capo, had to trek 12 miles into the jungle, abseil with safety harnesses 295 feet down into the cave, climb up and down slippery sharp boulders in intensive heat, swim through neck high waters fully clothed, to finally reach the destination of the show. In attendance were 10 other guests and 30 Oxalis Vietnamese staff. The show was done both in English and Vietnamese. Camera woman: Barbara Noyes, Producers: VU, team leader, Canh Le – tour Guide, Heiu Ho, safety specialist, Lina Ho – Emcee, and Truc Busby, interpreter. After the show she had trek 4 more hours, through water and mud, then scale a 63 step ladder onto the Vietnam Wall. Then rope climb with harness, a 30 story wall, then walk another 2 hours out of the jungle to civilization.
