Quote: The ability to arouse enthusiasm in a person is one of the greatest assets to possess, and the way to develop the best in a person is through appreciation and encouragement.
Hey Guys,
I just wanted to say that I appreciate you all for being so supportive of my career over the years. When a person has a burning desire in them to go after a dream, and those that are close to them are behind them, there is no greater feeling…so really thanks! Yes, I’m getting mushy because it’s Valentine’s Day. Okay, so we are already a month and a half into the New Year and up to our second holiday. Whether you are with someone or not, remember, you have to love yourself first for you to be able to give love. None of us are perfect, but if you look for the good in people instead of criticizing it goes a long way and makes people feel so much better and strengthens the relationship. Focus on the good in the person and they will feel loved and appreciated.
Now for the Capo update at a Glance:
2. It Happened in New York City – The Book and Tours
Yup, my 13th book, It Happened in New York City came out a few weeks ago. It contains 23 totally new stories about just New York City (unlike my other book, It Happened in New York – which are stories about the entire state.) This book has fascinating and little known quirky stories about the big apple – some sample stories: the life on the moon hoax, the miraculous St. Paul’s Church that continually survives major destruction, the charging bull on wall Street, the passionate crime of the century, and spending 10 days in an insane asylum…plus trivia. The book is available through my bookstore on my website www.francapo.com for an autographed copy, and of course at all the other regular places like Barnes and Nobles, Amazon etc. Makes a great gift for New Yorkers, tour guides or anyone coming into the city. (Hint, hint…buy a book already will ya! 🙂 Oh and by the way if you want to book a tour of New York City…. let me know…my co-writers Art and Susan run a tour company that I work with and we can give you any kind of tour you need. Just email me.
1- Jumping into the New Year.
Okay, so most of you know I started out the New Year, celebrating with my boyfriend, Steve and our two friends Cory and Jen. A different type of celebration for me since I’m used to doing the midnight run in Central Park. To make sure I kept with tradition though of starting off the New Year healthy, I decided to do 500 jumping jacks. Steve flipped it (It’s on you tube) At 500 I was ready to pass out…but I did it. Others took on the challenge and the results were quite funny, luckily no one had a heart attack as they took on the challenge.
